On the Children's Bed Shop blog this month we are over the moon to have up for grabs an authentic Steens Kids Mid Sleeper Bed in our Christmas giveaway.
A new bed might not spring to mind as the ideal Christmas gift; however, when it is a Steens Mid Sleeper Bed from Children's Bed Shop ‒ well, this is something completely different. The Steens For Kids Mid Sleeper Bed is a very modern take on the old captain’s bed. With a solid raised sleeping area with a snug hood, accessed by a ladder and space beneath for storage, studying, den making, hanging out or just getting some privacy, this bed is an all-round kids' haven.
We all know how kids crave their own space and a place for all their belongings, and the experts agree that children who enjoy privacy are less likely to be stressed and show better behaviour at home and in school. These mid sleepers are the perfect solution for providing kids with a clear space of their own ‒ somewhere little brothers and sisters are not allowed, a space to imagine and explore their own ideas. With windows to peek out of and a hood to hide under, a relatively small space can provide so many opportunities and variations. Once the kids get older, the accessories can easily be removed and the sleeper can be turned into the kind of bed suitable for an older child.
Steens Mid Sleeper Bed Details
The basic frame comes in solid plain white MDF and the lucky winner will be able to specify their preference for pink- or blue-themed fabric accessories. These consist of the cave hood for the bed; the storage pockets, which are ideal for holding books; and the hanging walls, which make the den underneath. These are fastened to the bed and instructions are provided.
The bed follows the European mattress size (90cm x 200cm) but will accommodate UK mattresses. Any mattress you use should be at least 182cm long to ensure the safety rail is effective.
Once a lucky winner has been selected, they will be contacted to let them know they have won. They will be contacted again to arrange delivery.
Please submit your entries below before 10th December 2015 to avoid disappointment. This competition is open to mainland UK residents only.
