What Bed Should a Four-Year-Old Have?
If you are wondering what kind of child's bed your four-year-old should have then keep on reading because we have some ideas for you. You will almost certainly want a low sleeper bed for your four-year-old. This is because generally speaking, mid sleeper beds, high sleeper beds, bunk beds and triple bunk beds are not suitable for children under six years old as they may not use these beds responsibly enough and may end up having an accident after diving off them!
A low sleeper bed can simply be described as a child's bed that is low off of the ground and can be accessed easily by your child by simply getting on and off of the bed with no steps or ladders. It may sound like a mundane step up from a toddler bed but here at the Children's Bed Shop, we sell a lot of different, exciting and practical designs for you to choose from. Some of our beds have storage drawers, pull-out beds and cool designs.
Let's take a look at some of our best sellers.
Steens Memphis UK Single Bed in Solid Plain White
The Steens Memphis UK Single Bed is one of the more simplistic styles of low sleeper beds that we sell. It has been made out of MDF material which makes it sure to stand the test of time and it has been finished in an off-white colour which will suit most décor. This low sleeper bed takes a standard sized single mattress (90cm in width and 190cm in length). Although this bed may be quite conservative in its design, this shouldn't matter as it will make an easy transition from toddler bed to big boy/girl bed.
Amani UK Mission Storage Bed in Waxed Pine
The Amani UK Mission Storage Bed is again quite simplistic in its design, but it has the added feature of three large storage drawers which will be extremely helpful in storing away everyday items from plain view. It has been made out of pine with a waxed pine finish for a more traditional look and feel. This low sleeper bed takes a standard sized single mattress (90cm in width and 190cm in length).
Julian Bowen Maine Bookcase Bed in Dove Grey
The Julian Bowen Maine Bookcase Bed not only is a bed, but it also has an underbed ready for sleepovers and its headboard also doubles up as a bookcase. It has been made out of MDF and it has been finished in a contemporary dove grey lacquer. Although its colouring is quite modern, its design is timeless due to the New England style panelling. Both the bed and underbed take a standard-sized single mattress (90cm in width and 190cm in length).
Julian Bowen Scorpion Racer Low Sleeper Bed
If your child is obsessed with all things car related, then look no further than at the Julian Bowed Scorpion Racer Bed! The frame of the bed is of course shaped like a race car and has been finished in a high gloss red paint. This bed will be perfect if your child already has a vehicle themed bedroom. This bed takes a standard sized single mattress (90cm in width and 190cm in length).
