For safety reasons, a kids loft bed isn't suitable for children under six years of age, so if your little one is younger, our mid sleeper beds or low sleeper beds are a much better option in the meantime. Is a Loft Bed a Good Idea?
If space is an issue in your room then a Loft Bed is a great space saver for your child to play in. Loft beds are taller than a cabin bed which is designed to give storage space underneath.
What Can I Fit Under a Loft Bed?
Loft beds have enough space to fit furniture underneath, which may include a desk, chest of drawers, or bookcase. Some of our loft beds are big enough to fit a sofa or additional bed frame underneath which will allow your child to relax and/or have friends over to stay.
What Age is a Loft Bed For?
This entirely depends on the individual child and your particular bedroom setup but it's generally recommended that loft beds are suitable for children aged 6 and up. However, it's important to assess whether your child will be able to safely manage a ladder or steps. Many of our beds come with wide steps to make getting in and out of bed simple. They can also be accessorised with glow in the dark strips for extra safety.
Are Loft Beds Dangerous?
Loft beds are a completely safe option, but are not recommended for children below six.
