Coronavirus (COVID-19) Order Status & Delivery Update: 14th October 2020

To all our valued customers,

We are all experiencing incredibly confusing and unpredictable times. In consideration of the ongoing uncertainty regarding COVID-19, we wish to reassure you that we are taking necessary precautions to protect the health, safety and well-being of our customers, our employees and our partners. 


We will continue to operate our business in accordance with government guidelines. We are accepting and dispatching all orders as usual, however orders despatched via our 2-man service will experience delays due to social distancing guidelines. We are however assessing orders and allocating via our 1 man service or pallet, where we are able to safely.


We understand the importance of our customers feeling safe and comfortable in their homes. For your peace of mind, you can advise couriers if you don’t want them to enter your home. They will understand and will be more than happy to make other arrangements with you.


Children’s Bed Shop are closely monitoring the advice and information provided by the government and commit to updating you if anything changes. Rest assured; our priority remains providing you with the quality goods you’ve come to expect in the safest possible way.


We will continue to update you with any updates following Government guidance in the coming days/weeks. In the meantime, our customer service team will continue to work remotely to assist you with any queries or concerns you may have.

UK Mainland - FREE Standard Delivery

We offer a free, one person, standard delivery service to all UK Mainland addresses in England, Wales and Scotland (£20.00 charge for deliveries to remote postcode areas*). Our free, one person, standard delivery service offers the delivery of your goods to your door step at ground level. This standard delivery service is an all day delivery service, between the hours of 8am - 6pm, Monday - Friday. Assistance may be required.

UK Mainland - Timed Delivery 

We offer an upgraded, one person, timed delivery service at a supplement charge of £9.95 per order (£29.95 charge for deliveries to remote postcode areas*) – you will be offered this service at the time of checkout. With this service, you will be contacted and offered a 4 hour time slot, as well as receiving a call 30 minutes prior to delivery on the day of delivery. The delivery driver will only deliver your goods to your hall way/passage, or to the ground floor. Assistance may be required.

UK Mainland - Timed Room of Choice Delivery

We offer a premium, two person, “Room of Choice” delivery service at a supplement charge of £19.95 per order (£39.95 charge for deliveries to remote postcode areas*) - you will be offered this upgrade at the time of checkout should you need your goods carried inside your property - whether that be on the ground floor, second floor or higher. With this service, you will be contacted and offered a 4 hour time slot, as well as receiving a call 30 minutes prior to delivery on the day of delivery.  The delivery driver will deliver your goods to a room of your choosing. Conditions will apply based on access to the room of your choosing. Assistance may be required.

* Remote postcode areas include: SA, KW, IV, AB, DD, PA and PH.

Click & Collect Service

We offer customer collections, where you can come and collect the goods from our premises. We will contact you when your goods are ready for collection. You must notify us to let us know when you will be coming to collect your order, so we can have the items ready for collection. We aim to respond to all Click & Collect orders with information regarding the collection either by phone call or by e-mail within 24 hours (Weekends and Bank Holidays excluded). 

Where do I collect my order?
You can collect your order from our main warehouse in the North East of England, United Kingdom. The collection address is as follows: Childrens Bed Shop, c/o Efurn Ltd, Unit 14 Cherry Way, Dubmire Industrial Estate, Fencehouses, DH4 5RJ, United Kingdom, T: (0191) 654 2030.

Our collection hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-11am and  1pm–4pm. You must notify us of when you will be coming to collect your order, so we can have the items ready for collection.

What proof of ID do I need to bring?
Please bring your order reference number. If you do not have this then we will accept photo ID or proof of Address. Unfortunately, we will not be able to give you your order without any of these forms of ID.

What happens if something I have ordered is not available?
On the rare occasion that a product you order is not available for an extended length of time, we will contact you at the earliest opportunity to notify you of the delay.

Other Delivery Options:

NEXT DAY* - We offer a free, one person, "Next Day" delivery service to selected UK Mainland addresses in England, Wales and Scotland. Our free, one person, next day delivery service offers the delivery of your goods to your door step at ground level. This standard delivery service is an all day delivery service, between the hours of 8am - 6pm. Assistance may be required.

* Working Days: Monday – Friday.
* Selected products only.
* We unfortunately cannot guarantee a next day delivery service. Due to circumstances that may arise beyond our control, the delivery may be made between 1-3 working days.


We are unable to offer "Next Day" delivery to the following postcodes. Delivery to these postcodes will be on an Economy Service, estimated up to 3 working days. 

AB, IV, FK, KW, PA, PH.

The delivery times quoted on the website are for delivery to postcodes which fall within our normal delivery areas and are estimated. These are just a guide and are dependent on suppliers, shipping, freight and many matters which our beyond our control. These times are based for delivery of orders throughout the UK. Mainland. Parts of the UK Mainland are classed as "Remote Postcode Areas" with our transport company, and therefore delivery lead times can be extended (parts of the UK mainland affected include CT, DT, EX, LD, NR, PL, SA, TQ, TR, AB, CA, DD, DG, FK, IV, KA, KW, LA, KW, LA, LL, PA, WN and PH postcodes).

We are not to be held responsible for delivery lead times which may fall outside of the estimated delivery lead time. If you have any questions about delivery lead times, please contact us prior to ordering, where our Customer Service Team can assist.

We are unable to offer deliveries to Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, Orkney and the Shetland Islands, Isle of Lewis, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey.

We are also unable to carry out deliveries to 3rd party carriers, should you wish to arrange your own transit to the above areas.We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
